New Year, New MenYOU – Menu for Jan 5-9

Happy New Year! I am so excited about what 2015 has to offer! I’ve enjoyed reading my Facebook feed, blogs, and texts with so many New Year’s resolutions! I have a few resolutions of my own and some of them involve my weekly menus! Several weeks ago I introduced our Cranberry Pecan Chicken Salad and daily soups. I am so happy both have been embraced well. I will continue to offer the chicken salad and soups in the New Year. For those of us with New Year’s resolutions that involve making healthier choices this year, I will also be adding a few other options to our normal Daily Special menu offerings. I plan to offer alternative specials at least a couple times a week that will be less “Southern Home-Cooking” style and a little more “resolution-friendly” in nature. This may be in the form of an alternative entire meal some days (entree and 2 sides) and on other days it may be a healthy soup or the option to choose brown rice or wheat pasta over our standard white starches. We will also have high-quality salads with protein (for example, grilled chicken Caesar or strawberry pecan spinach salads) available for lunch or dinner each week as well. I will try to list the alternatives when posting the menu each week but please extend me grace as I expand our menu as this will be a growing and stretching time for the business for certain! You can always call to inquire about our alternatives and I definitely seek your feedback during this time of expansion! As this is a new endeavor for us, pricing may increase on these new meals from time to time. However, rather than increase any pricing across the board, we will only increase on specific meals when necessary…and maybe not at all. I am so excited about 2015 and pray this next year is a year of abundant blessings to each of you and your families! I cannot express just how sincerely thankful I am to each of you for an incredible year in 2014. My goal was to help you bring your families around the dinner table with “home-cooked” meals a little more often and I enjoyed seeing that happen. In 2015 I look forward to continuing this journey of saving you time and money and now to saving us all a few calories from time to time as well 😉
